Catalyst Commercial to conduct Strategic Plan for Quanah

Catalyst Commercial is a Dallas based consultancy focused on innovative solutions for public and private entities. Catalyst offers services that include retail market research, workforce analysis, healthcare market optimization, and housing studies. The consultancy has completed over 180 projects with emphasis in retail, office, healthcare, and residential and has worked with EDCs and City Councils in Arlington, Colleyville, and Kyle, Texas.

Catalyst Commercial and Jalen Dorsey, the Executive Director of QEDC, will tour Quanah on June 1 to discuss and document catalyst real estate areas, prime corridors, workforce and residential issues, and infrastructure capabilities and locations. Catalyst will continue their study by collecting local regional and state data, current code provisions, land use inventory, previous reports, and other pertinent data plans and policies. Using aerial imagery and base mapping files (GIS), Catalyst will survey existing land use, zoning, development activity & history.

Once the data is collected, Catalyst will produce a three to five-year strategic plan that includes economic development strategies and commercial and industrial development. The strategic plan, or “strat plan” for short, will include research and production of a targeted industry list of potential businesses for Quanah to retain and attract.
